_Mad_ magazine once did a cartoon where a boy was asked whether he believed in prayer in school. He replied "Have you ever taken an algebra test without being prepared?"
When I was in college and exploring religion actively for the first time, one of the instructors said that the only really honest prayer was, "Help!" :-)
An Inter-Varsity Christian fellowship magazine article mentioned someone who had taken twenty credits in one quarter. He put prayer first (I believe it was a specified amount of time) "and left the rest up to the Lord." I was told that taking extra credits sort of forces one into being more organized (the most I ever took was 18, and this does seem to be true). Re-reading the article, I realized that the point wasn't so much surviving a twenty-credit quarter, it was surviving a twenty-credit quarter and still having a prayer life.
So. Prayer. . . .
For peace of mind, clarity of purpose and a strong motivation to succeed. Amen.

Lord we praise Your name for the desire this person has to call upon Your name for help, for doing as You teach by sharing the burden, and for the blessing of wanting to do better in their studies.
Continue to work in the life of Your child and may they reap the reward of answered prayer. In Jesus name we ask this. Amen
Good luck to you in your studies!!

Prayer won't help you more study will. I am not a believer of God but a believer of doing things yourself to get things done.

Dear God,
Please let this kid get good grades because he seems to be one of the only people in his age group to actually want them.
Amen
