Many people live with physical limitations that we can easily see. When we see those with such limitations, we know that they may require assistance or accommodation.
Many more suffer from limitations that are not visible. People often don't understand their needs. They see frustration in theirselfs and those around them, which leaves them discouraged.
Suffering that can scar our spirits: broken hearts, abusive relationships, divorce, death of someone dear to us, anger at God, disease eating away at our bodies. God does not abandon us during times of sufferinfg but offers the healing touch of love.

Loving God, thank you for coming to us with your healing touch-- when we ask and even when we don't. Amen.

May God's compassion touch you when in need:)

I am there for me, the only one that I can trust for sure will be without fail. I've personally witnessed people in Pentecostal churches with disabilities prayer for healing to no avail and know that countless people prayed for safety from Katrina's waters as they were drowning. It has been reported that most of those who survived the storm found their faith strengthened afterward, which almost seems vain as they appear to assume that God favored them over others who perished. If he saved one, why not all? Where was the god "who is there for you every time you become discouraged?" He wasn't in New Orleans, that's for sure. George Bush responded better and quicker than God did.

I think god can only understand our unspoken pains and ills. Many of us do not speak of our deepest conflicts within the soul.

We can only know God if we get rid of the concepts of hell, sin, judgement, punishment, and guilt. God is only unconditional love and anything that talks about that stuff is hiding the real God. Amen.

I am there for me when I am discouraged. I don't have to look outside of myself to be lifted.
