Habitat for humanity is a non-profit organization that helps people in need of housing and what not. Although this may sound strange my great-grandma was the starter of Habitat for Humanity. She receantly passed away. If you need more information contact me at jak10692@yahoo.com

They take some undeveloped land in poor nieghborhoods or just cheap land. Maybe the house that was there burned down. whatever. They get some cheap materials to build houses with. If you want a house, must put in so many hours of building houses for others, and then when it is finally your turn, you'll still have a morgage. Seems like it's easier to buy a house to me.

A non-profit organization. I believe President Jimmy Carter started or had something to do with its inception. A group of volunteers help to build or rehabilitate homes.

they build houses for people who are needy , but working to better them self. They are local offices in most towns , and you can apply to see if you qualify.
