Pros and cons about caital punishment???

Pro. Dead don't need fed housed or clothed.
Con
If there were "Life without parole" and we did not have to pay for the prisoners life in prison.I would have no problem with it.

The purpose of capital punishment is a deterrent for future crimes of a serious nature (child murders, mass murders, serial killers, and cold blooded murder(torturing and then watching someone die). With that being stated it is a idea with mixed feelings and opinion. One of these opinions is that it currently limits the strain on tax payers so they do not have to take care of a worthless human being for the rest of his or hers natural life. It is also used as a tactic by the prosecution to obtain a guilty plea and not drag the family through a horrible trial. It must be used reasonably. There has to be proof without a reasonable doubt, and the evidence to back up this punishment. As you know there is a huge con in this line of thought. That if someone is put to death who is later determined to be innocent through DNA.

Pro - 100% success rate. People subjected to capital punishment will never commit another crime.
Con - American's don't like the idea of killing someone under any circumstances... except in Texas!

I really do not see any cons. An eye for an eye. The appeals process is so long that by the time the death penalty is carried out the guy did it! I think if it was used more often there would be less violent crime and repeat offenders. People who oppose the death penalty have their reasons I am sure but look at the scum that is out there.

pros:
-people get what theey deserve for doing somehting illegal
-....... killes someone that has doen something bad to the country
cons;
- other people understand that this doesnt want to be happened to them

I don't believe anyone has the right to murder another. Even in punishment. Now, torture I can live with.

No one has the right to take a life. Life in prison without parole would do just fine.
