Use whatever brand of coffee you prefer. I personally have come to love Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, but it is $52 a pound this season. If you can grind your own whole beans, they will taste better if ground right before you use them. Use cold, pure mountain spring water for the best taste (remember, you are drinking this, don't use tap water!) the ideal temperature for the water to be heated is 185 degrees (not boiling!) and pressed through the ground coffee as quickly as possible. Drip coffee makers are OK, but a french press is a little better. The less amount of time the water mixes with the grounds, the less acidic your coffee will be.
That is how to make a "perfect" cup of coffee.

Ursie's Warning: A few sips of my coffee may cause heart palpitations and the inability to sit for three days.
This is the Light Recipe
Ingredients:
3 hefty tablespoons Maxwell House Smooth Blend
2 cups o' water
Place the hefty tablespoons into your filter on your coffee maker (b/c we don't do that instant "sheight"), pour 2 cups of water into the appropriate place in your coffeemaker, brew it.
Feeling Festive?
Add two tablespoons of International Delight's French Vanilla coffee sweetner.
Need to Study?
Add one slice of thick bread to your menu, this prevents too many bathroom trips and slightly takes the jitters off. At least in my experience.
Ganbei!

I like whole bean starbucks french roast, or any other extra bold blend. but it needs to be whole bean so its fresher, and extra bold so it has fuller flavor (even if it has less caffeine, it tastes better!)
i love smoking a good high quality honduran maduro cigar while sipping on some coffee! they go good together, like black diamond 4 year aged cheese and aged red wine.
