To the first person who replied, no kangaroos are NOT endangered. Kangaroo meat is available for sale in supermarkets around Australia. And it does taste nice. Its low in fat and high in iron and protein. It can go a little tough when cooked so is best done fried or over a barbeque grill.

As i said it does taste nice, but the meat is so rich in flavour i dont buy it.

OH SO YUMMY! I've had it as jerky which is like the prefect blend of beef and turkey jerky and far as consistancy. The other time was at a German restaurant. It is kinda gamey but the mouth feel is fantastic! It kinda has a shredded beef texture when cooked properly. Throw a filet on a plate with some mashed potatoes and a red wine demi-glace.. Enjoy!

If you clean the mucous out of the pouch first, their delicious. BBQ on a spit over a open fire. Legs are a little tough, but very meaty. Save the head as the table center piece.

I ate kangaroo. I didnt really like it though. It tasted like cardboard... although that might be because of the way they cooked it.
