I have had my knee replaced 9 yrs ago after have 10 surgery's on it from the time I was 15 to 19. I am now dealing with a second knee replacement after a BAD Infection. and you want to talk about pain untill you have a infection in the bone I have never had PAIN. I have a IV run every day with antiboitic's in three ways. I am now looking at having a 3rd knee put in. If this infection clears up. if it don't I may have to think about. ~~~~~~~~ having them do something I really don't want to think about. something I have fought all my life to keep from having it done. What I am wanting ? Is to talk with someone about amputation... If there is any one out here that is had a amputation Please get a hold of me .

So sorry you are going through that. Maybe you could find an online support group. Yahoo groups has lots of support groups, I was able to find one for a medical condition I have that is fairly rare. They have been a great source of support and can answer questions I have. Sometimes it's comforting just to know that others are going through the same thing you are. Good luck to you!

Knee joint replacement surgery has become very common nowadays. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. I don't think the third knee will last also. Once infection sets in, it is very, very hard to eradicate in total joint replacements. However, I think amputation seems to be too drastic a measure. Talk to your orthopedist about knee fusion. You may not be able to bend your knee anymore but you retain your lower extremity.
