i kind of know him, he kinda knows me... i mean, we call each other by name, and we tease each other, and we sit together in class sometimes too, but he has this group of friends that he's always with. and that group of friends? there's like 5 girls in there, and he's always really friendly with them, and even after he talks to me and teases me and stuff, i see him talking to them all friendly (he's known them since second grade, after all) and i always think... 'oh i'm never gonna get as close to him as they are', and it's just really depressing.
how do you think i can get close to my crush?
i'm not the kind of person that gets all nice and flirty and stuff when i like someone, so it'll seem kinda weird if i suddenly get all sappy on him.... i think maybe i wanna get really close to him, as a friend, before i go anywhere else...
so how can i be a better friend with my crush?

right now we're in this sort of
"teasing and making fun of each other-but not quite best friend" stage.
it means, we hang out sometimes at school, and we talk a lot, but we'd never walk home together or do anything after school. our friendship is strictly on school grounds...

Keep up the talking with him. Eventually invite him to a party or something that is very social. He probably isnt in to the other 5 girls because theyre probably just too good of friends. Just keep flirting and be you.

You don't have to be 'sappy' to get his attention.Use reflective listening and really listen to what he says. Ask open ended questions that require more than a 'yes or no' answer.that way you can use poitive and lady like actions to let him know you are interested in what he has to say. People like to talk about their interests, so be the listener. Good luck.

Oh hey that's me...well at my school atleast...

It's easier to date someone if you're IN their group of friends...but my advice? Don't waste time, if he's single, ask him out as soon as possible...if he teases you, he likes you, just give it a try, if you waste time, you'll end up broken hearted when someone else gets there first.

If it's going to happen it will but if you want to give it a nudge why don't you mention something you are doing and ask him if he would like to come along. His response will give you a good idea how you stand but realise if he says he is already doing something that may well be the truth. Good luck.

The very same thing happened to me just not in your situation. i used to sit next to my girlfriend in every class in the same group. we always played around until one day she got one of her friends and told them to tell me that she wanted to go out with me.

Sounds like everything is going good just keep being friends like you are and it'll grow in time.

Just continue being friendly. He will decide whether he wants to
expand his friendship with you.Don't be pushy or clingy. That
might push him away.
