Just write a book and make stuff up about what pets Jesus had, just like the people did when writing the New Testament. I'm sure it will be a great hit. Christians believe anything, if they believe the Bible.

People did not usually have pets back then, but had animals that were used for work and food. I am sure if he did have a pet he would ahve taken care of it and been a good pet owner.

He seems to have a fondness for sheep; he talks movingly about how a shepherd knows his sheep by name, and the sheep know him and follow him around, but they'll run away from a stranger. And how any decent shepherd would risk his life to save his sheep. They follow him into their pen, and he sleeps across the opening of the pen so they won't go out at night, because they'd have to step on him to get out.
