My friend has a dove tattoo in memory of her father and hers is a black outline with white filling and very light and natural looking sky blue and yellow highlights.

A Doves natural color is shades of light brown.I think outlined in a very dark brown than shaded in with lighter drowns would be cool. get a color pic of a Mourning Dove and take it with you

a blue tint mixed in with the white should still allow it to look white. or you could just let your white skin be the white of the dove. good luck on your tattoo!!

Does it have to be a Dove? if you want it to be coloured in why not go for a swallow Bird or something. They look great coloured in.
