I decided to change, but will it work?

I normaly only go out with 9th graders-10th graders, but I changed that bcuz I realy liked this 8th grade boy and he realy likes me butwhen we talk on the phone he never talks to me I always have to do all the talkin.It's like Im talking to myself sometimes.If that is the case I could call my friends and talk, I mean Im in 8th grade and is extremely mature I need some one on my level?What should I do should I try the change or break it off and stick to 9th and 10th graders?

That is how it was in the beginning of my relationship. He was very hard to talk to on the phone because neither of us knew what we wanted to talk about. Give him a chance.
