It's not the end of the world. People thought it was shortly after Christ died. They thought so again at the turn of the first millenium. Some thought so again a few years ago. It has been predicted again and again throughout the years.

Someday we may be hit by a comet. Someday, someone might start a nuclear war. Someday, the Sun may go super-nova. Someday, we may plunge into a global Ice Age. Someday, someday, somday.

Live your life as if every day is the last. Strive to help others. Serve whatever God or Goddess, or whatever higher power or purpose you have always.

If you're spending your time getting ready for the end, you're not doing what you need to right now. If you spend your time as if each day were your last, you have no need to worry about which it may, in fact, be.

People are quite happy to say they don't believe in God, and that there is no God and not be afraid of being struck down.

The whole world seems to be at war with itself and brother is killing brother.

Everyone seems to be so selfish that no one really cares about what happens to anyone anymore and so they keep showing babies starving to death with mucky noses and flies in their eyes.

The politician don't care about the people they are supposed to be looking after they are so power crazy they will spend money on guns and bombs instead of food or medication.

Lads and lasses are beating up the elderly and stealing from the vulnerable just so they can get drugs.

The police don't bother to come and talk to you if your car or house is robbed, they just give you a URN number. However, old people are fined for not having a TV licence, and the poor are made to look dishonest if they are on benefits, for instance if a woman with children goes on benefits and then her boyfriend moves in she has to tell the benefit agency. Why? it is still her who is responsible for feeding and clothing her and her children, not her boyfriend.

The things that make me feel that the end of the world is nigh go on and on.

Of course one of the most obvious signs is that a person has so little insight they have to ask this kind of question.

We are definately living in "the time of the end". The end of the world will occur when no one expects, and it will happen when Jehovah God wants it to. But it will be very soon, because all of the signs have occurred. Mark 13:8 starts out by saying "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, there will be earthquakes in one place after another, there will be food shortages. These are a beginning of pangs of distress." and in verse 10 "Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first"... all these things are occurring a a rapid state in our time!!! Further, in verse 12 it says "brother will deliver brother over to death, and a father a child, and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. And you will be objects of hatred"...(that is, those who are serving God and preaching about Him)..."by all people on account of my name. But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved." So we have direction from the Bible how to live and endure these pangs of distress... and if we do so, we will be spared at the great war of Armageddon.

I have no problem being honest. We are not in end times. The idea of end times is just another myth that man likes to perpetuate. We always talk about what's going to happen in the future. Some sort of pending disaster.
Nothing ever happens. People need to understand how and why they're brainwashed. They need to start thinking clearly and for themselves. Stop being led around like a flock of sheep. Eventually the sheepherder will have you for dinner.

It could be, but I can't say for sure - because only God knows. However, some of the signs are:

Israel becoming a nation (1948)
An army across the Euphrates of 200 million strong (China now boasts that)
An increase in natural disasters (read the newspaper)
An increase in war and rumors of war (read the newspaper)
An increase in heart attacks (read the medical journals)
A loss of morals as in the days of Noah (everywhere)
A peace treaty between Israel and those against her (not yet)
Rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem (not yet)

There are more.

Some bible translation say End of the World, but it does not mean earth, literally, end of the world is a system, a rotten system where human rule is not sufficient to provide us with what we need.....human governments that cant stop war, famine, diseases,poverty....

These will end soon. we are in the last days is evident in MAtthew 24, 2 Timothy 3:1

Ross, every generation has believed that they are living in the "End Times." What Christianity teaches is that the exact date and time "No one knows."

Don't let the 'doom-sayers' take away your peace of mind. Lead a good life, believe, pray and be happy.

We can't really tell. It might be. It probably is. We might have one year or ten years or twenty years or even two hundred, though.

There was an article on these signs:

http://www.orthodoxengland.org.uk/twelve.htm

And another one (which seems to be part of an on-line book):

http://www.orthodoxphotos.com/readings/end/signs.shtml

And another:
