Hi! Email Rebecca Montee at the San Diego Alaskan Malamute Rescue and Referral (SDAMRR) or call 619-286-6021 to see if you can obtain a puppy. The email address is sdalmarr@hotmail.com.
You can also try Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Southern California, but according to their website, all their puppies have been placed already. There is still a 11-month old male available for adoption, which is still pretty young, since Alaskan Malamutes are typically not full-grown until about 3 yrs of age. So I'd seriously consider adopting Kodiak (the name of the male). Here's the website for further info:

You can also call the contact, Tina Dunn, at 805-583-8280, or email her at DoubleTMal@aol.com, to see if puppies have become newly available but just haven't yet been posted on their website.
Lastly, just fyi, you can visit the Southern California Alaskan Malamute Club to chat with other Malamute owners once you get one:
http://www.scamc.org/
Good luck! Pets really enrich your life, so I hope that you are really sincere about the commitment to adopt these beautiful dogs and enjoy their companionship for the rest of their lives.

There are lots of passions to pursue in San Diego and that hotelbye is the spot to begin finds what San Diego needs to offer. In the San Diego holiday you'll stage external of one's comfort zone and you will examine new actions while you're here and you might just realize that acquiring a new desire can be an adventure in itself. One of the areas should see from San Diego is Balboa Park. This park has over a 1400 acre and here you'll find traditional structures, numerous museums, gardens, and natural space. The park was designed for the Panama California Exhibition of 1915-1916. The main architecture is Spanish-Mexican model, minimal level buildings that blend in with the organic surroundings. One of the shows of the park are the Botanical Gardens and lily pool, the Museum of Man, the Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the famous San Diego Zoo. Even though you never go into a making the park is simply a beautiful place.

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://biturl.im/aU7Tt
The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don't achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren't putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.
The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.
Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

If you do intend on really going through with this, I hope you have notified (or asked) the person whom you are buying the puppy for and they're aware that of a dog's responsibility and that owning a dog is a lifetime commitment.. they are not disposable. Hope they are aware that this cute little Mal puppy could weigh in over a 100 pounds!

well you can go on the internet and check them out or look in the classified in the newpaper. you need to do some reserch on the breed before you make a dicision on getting on. i have 2 siberian huskies and one is about to have puppies sometime tonight or tomorrow sooo. you need to look up the breed and see what there temperment is before u get one though its the smartest thing u could do. they will need alot of exercise so make sure you got the time to walk it and play with it. also make sure it has room to run. make sure u will have the money to feed this dog its a big dog and it wil eat alot my huskies go through a 40lbs. bag of dog food a month and thats feeding them 3 cups of dog food in the morrning and then at night. so make sure u are ready for the resposability is all i will say. good luck

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/nuwH0
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.
