Taking my mother and some friends to Manhattan to see the tree and do some shopping. Are there any decent restaurants (preferably in walking distance of Rockefeller Plaza) that are not too expensive?

There are lots- just stay away from the chain restaurants.
Utsav is a great Indian restaurant nearby (off of 6th).
There are places all along Eigth Avenue.

Langhan's 47th St -just off 7th ave. Or just across the street is the Pig N Whistle, same owners as Langhan's....with lower prices.
