You're kidding, right?
Cereal (with milk) = 180 calories per cup, that's if you ONLY had a cup, with skim milk.
Croissant = 230-300 calories (depending on brand)
Bagel with Cream Cheese = 200 calories (bagel) + 100 calories / ounce (assume 2 ounces).
Big Bag of Doritos = 140 calories an ounce x 12 ounces per family size bag
Pizza slice = 200-600 calories per slice x 3 slices.
French fries (depends on size) = 350 calories for SMALL bag (did you biggie size it?)
Garlic knots = not sure, going to assume 150 calories each x 3
Chips (what kind, how many?) = (going to assume 3 ounces x 150 calories / ounce)
Apples = 50 calories for small apple x 2
Pasta = not sure of size, but estimating 200 calories / serving.
Salad = (did you have dressing?) going to estimate based on dressing calories only -- ranch is 70 calories per tablespoon, and I am going to estimate 300 calories for 4 1/2 tablespoons
Total calories per day = 6200. This is almost THREE TIMES what you should be eating, and it is the equivalent of 2 pounds of fat (fat is abotu 3000 calories a pound). The calories in the Doritoes OR the pizza ALONE are enough for your whole day.
You should start by counting calories. Even if you weren't on a diet, you should not be getting more than 2000 calories a day. Second, you should focus on filling up on foods that are low in calories. That's usually fruits and vegetables. You made a good start wit hthe apples and maybe even the salad. Even the cereal's not bad. Cream cheese is almost pure fat, and the Doritos, pizza and french fries might as well be.
I would recommend that you ask your parents to help put you in touch with a dietician. (S)he can tell you how to eat healthy without feeling like you're starving. They can also talk to you about how to develop new habits like not snacking on Doritos and french fries. You may also want to consider asking your dietician to put you on a restricted-calorie diet.
Lastly, get out and walk. I don't mean a lazy walk, talking on the cell phone with your friends. I mean walking until you sweat. Get a heart rate monitor so you know how fast your heart is beating when you walk. As long as it's not over 130 you're probably OK for starters, though you should ask a personal trainer for advice there also.
Exercise won't lose the weight for you... only diet can do that, but the exercise will "buy" you some extra calories each day by brning off SOME calories.
You CAN do this. I lost 50 pounds myself just by "eating right and exercising". No weird diets... permantent change does not come quickly... sorry about that!
Good luck.

It's what your eating. I promise its not hard to lose weight if your eating the right stuff.
Get rid of the cereal cause it won't fill you up and has alot of calories. The crousant and bagel are both carbs and aren't filling. Instead eat a powerbar. It will fill you up. I would suggest a crunchy peanut butter cliff bar or a candylike powerbar. It's great and not that bad.
NO DORITOS!!!!!!!!!!! Or chips unless their baked. Try another powerbar or piece of fruit and salad w/ a little shredded cheese some turkey peporoni which is better for you then regular. And a light dressing.
NO PIZZA and especially not 3 pieces. Eat one piece of pizza if you have to and some fruit. NO FRENCH FRIES!!!!! I have no clue what a garlic knot is but it sounds bad, if its like bread then thats probubly not good.
No chips!!!! You don't need two apples. Just 1.
Pasta and salad are good as long as its not alot!!!!!!!!
For snack eat ONE special k bar or apple.
There's no reason for you to weigh so much. Your eating to much crap thats bad for you. Its fine to indulge in some junk food EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!!!!!! Just mix it w/ fruit and salad.
Thats what i do and i'm 14, 130 pounds and 5'7

Sweetheart, that's a lot of calories (especially the Doritos). At 5'2", you should be consuming 1200 to 1500 calories per day, only increasing that if you do a lot of physical activity.
The problem is that you aren't really clear on portion sizes, which make a huge difference. You might want to consider talking to your mother about going to Weight Watchers meetings -- at 14, I went to a Weight Watchers camp, and the biggest thing I and my fellow campers had to deal with the first week was the surprise at how small a normal portioned meal actually seems. Weight Watchers camp is also a good opportunity for a young teen because (1) you deal with people your age with the same stresses you have, (2) you're active all day and cannot eat like you're used to, (3) you learn about your food choices and also some possible self-esteem issues which lead to your food choices.
If you want to eat like this, then you need to increase your movement drastically (though the Doritos need to come in smaller sizes). Some of it, I'd bet, is emotional eating.
Take walks, hikes, bike rides, play tennis, tag, run, jump, climb . . . just move. You also are old enough at 13 to join a gym. You have to be careful with some of the trainers, though, because many of them aren't very thoughtful in terms of weight loss versus muscle bulking. You not only will eat less because you're out and moving, but you won't miss the junk food because your body will actually crave the "healthy stuff".
Good luck; I remember the Hell of being an overweight teen, and I hated not being able to do what I really wanted to because my weight was in my way.

ummm why did you eat 3 garlic knots? thats probably not good for you. and all the breads and carbohydrates- cereal crousant bagel chips pizza french fries pasta
and you need healthier foods, pizza i get maybe every other week cuz its not the best for you, same with pasta, and i dont usually have french fries becaused theyre deep fried. try just having like a little bag of doritos a day at the most. im 13 too and im a little heavy, but not that heavy. you need to "balance" your meals. not so many carbs and it doesnt look like much meat on your list. not so much for breakfast. and excercise. do you just sit around at home? becuz that doesnt help. maybe you should see a dietrician or somthing

well if you count your calories and start to exercise maybe that might help. Your almost eating about 115 percent of fat a day.! Thats more then average. Well if you go to www.sparkspeople.com
They will help and if you go on a good diet not a bad diet thats good too. You should go on a diet were when you are full don't eat any more even if your bored play a game or exercise. Do some thing out side get active. Good luck I hope this helps you and your eating. Eat healthy.

the things that u are eating aren't very healthy for u. the 2 apples and the salad are good. there is nothing wrong with eating some of the other things that u mentioned but the amount of what u are eating and what time of day or night you are eating them could really be putting some weight on, try eating healthier snacks such as carrot sticks, apples, fruits and veggies and exercise regularly.

I think your answer lies in your question. At least you had some salad and 2 apples. Eat more like that and work out. You'll see the pounds drop quickly.
