These mad Jehovah Witnesses (no disrepect) believe in Adam And Eve, right? Does that mean that they don't believe in Evolution?

If they don't believe in evolution, do they ever ask themselves why the hell they have an appendix inside them? Do they really believe that there once lived a talking snake?

And do they ever wonder why I pretend I'm not in when they knock on my door? Do they honestly think that they are going to change my mind on my doorstep and I'm going to put my hat and coat on and join them in the street and say: "Lets knock on Dorothy's door, I can't wait to tell her this!" in an excited manner?

Did these people heckle at school in Science class?

If you can answer all 5 or 6 questions seriously, I will be most grateful. It may sound like I'm taking the p*ss but I do try and respect the silly gits.

I want to answer, I want to answer! Hold on please, there's someone at the door.
It was some people with literature but they were just standing there, when they finally started to say something I yelled "TOO LATE" and slammed the door. (I am a little rude -- but I am taking rudeness management classess...)
Where were we? Oh yes, Jehovah's Witnesses --

(1) No, they don't believe in evolution. I once said to one of the them "I once read that rudimentary hind limbs appear briefly in the embryos of whales and dolphins. What was Jehovah thinking?" He just looked at me like I was an idiot, which I assure you I am not. I may not be the brightest troll under here, but I'm not an idiot.

(2) Yes, they believe there once lived a talking snake. At that time, if I'm not mistaken, there were also bugs that talked. This is really hard for me to accept.

(3) Yes, they don't think you are pretending not to be home; they think you are asleep, that you are a sinner, a sleeping sinner. In that regard they are similar to the Baptists

(4)Yes, they believe you will be grateful for their message, is not today then perhaps tomorrow.

(5) No, they do not heckle in science class; but the do heckle the nurse that comes to take their temperature. The Bible specicically forbids the insertion of thermometers into private cavities; and believe it or not, that includes the area under the tongue.

Does that answer your questions? One disclaimer though: Where I didn't know the answer, I made one up. Is that okay?

Oh and by the way, we will all get to meet Adam and Eve some day, and shake their hands, and the hands of their descendants and the hands of their descendants' descendants and the hands of... Oh well you get idea. I hope you haven't read this far cause I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I really like my new keyboard.

1) Adam and Eve doesn't mean that evolution doesn't exist.

Look in the Bible--is there ever a time frame? No. Many scholars speculate that Adam and Eve represent humans that had souls, not humans alone. It can be assumed that Neanderthals and the "cave man" lived together with Adam and Eve.

What seperates Adam and Eve from these pre-homosapians is the neffish, or their soul. In Hebrew there is a different word for an animal soul and a human soul, starting the difference at the beginning with Adam and Eve.

An interesting tangent is that after Cain killed Abel, there is a lapse in time. Some scholars believe that Adam had an affair with the neananderthals and "cave men" meaning that he fathered many children, but because they were no conceived with Eve, they were still without a soul.

2) Why should we care about why we have an appendix? Honestly I think that JW and Mormons believe they have other things to worry about, like their souls.

3) It's not about a talking snake. If you look at the Bible as poetry, the snake would represent a conscious.

4) They have to save your soul, regardless of how they assume you're pretending. I'm sure they pray that God will touch your soul and eventually open the door.

5) They don't think you'll join them like that. They just hope, like Mormons, that you'll eventually learn more about them (without learning the truth about their cults) and join in on the "fun."

First, evolution and Adam and Eve have nothing to do with each other. Perhaps you should study religion a bit more to figure this out.
Second, if your evidence for evolution being absolutely correct is that we have an appendix, you have more faith than any religious person I have ever met.
Third, JWs seem to make a lot of conversions, so just because you don't answer the door, doesn't mean they aren't having success, which they are because the religion is growing.
Fourth, I have never seen them heckle at school. I have seen plenty of Atheists heckle at school when we were asked to recite the pledge of allegiance or sing Christmas carols.

Jehovah's Witnesses are quite sane; they do believe that Adam and Eve were real and are the ancestors of all humans.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in evolution.

Jehovah's Witnesses rarely ask themselves why they have an appendix.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Satan made it seem as though the snake was talking.

Jehovah's Witnesses tend to be uninterested about the reasons a householder might refuse to answer his door.

Jehovah's Witnesses require new "publishers" to qualify for the privilege before these can join them in the formal house-to-house ministry; they hope that an initial call may lead to a regular home bible study.

Many Jehovah's Witnesses LOVE science; why would they heckle it?

I'm not a Jehovah's Witness, and I don't believe in evolution.
Who says all creatures couldn't talk, or Adam and Eve couldn't understand them? When Eve was deceived by the "serpent," it wasn't a snake. It was for deceiving Eve that the serpent was cursed to slither on the ground.
Genesis 3:14
..."Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life."

I've never wondered why we have an appendix. I don't have mine either.

I'm sure they've wondered why you pretend why you're not home, they're not out to hurt you. No I don't think they really believe that, they want to share their faith.

Heckle in school? I doubt it.

If the first 2 human beings were both male, it can make the bible even extra absurd. God did not write the bible, adult men wrote the bible, and it change into all politically suited for the day. With Adam and Eve we are all a collection or inbreds through the indisputable fact that is, yet with Adam and Steve, umm yeah, except Steve had a womb, which negates the gay rights activists element.

Most religious sects do not believe in evolution. They believe that human history began 6,000 years ago, that god took a rib from Adam and made eve, and most unbelievably they definitely believe in the talking snake!
I try and respect them also, because that's what makes us different...respecting what others choose to believe. They do make it difficult though when they try and push their form of religion down your throat. But in their defense, like other similar denominations they believe that they have to work their way into heaven by trying to convert people. I don't know...it's really kind of sad that they will waste their life trying to find their way into heaven by telling people about a myth.

man, you canot mix science and religion but that is god's power.God had said that adam is the most greatest creation of god like this:And He taught Adam all the names (of everything) , then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful." and another verse of eve:O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Hawwa (Eve)), and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an AllWatcher over you.
so god made adam as a calph of the face of the earth,so how can you imagine that we humans come from the apes and monkeys? try to think about it my freind! and this doesn't mean that i support jehovah witness or something

Thanks, RR
