Blown: As in speaker term... Damaged Working Speaker...
Cone is damage where it can't do it job anymore
Coil is damaged where it can't make good sound quaility
Also can be Both at the same time.....
People also use the term Blown when
Inop, Doesn't work, Trashed, Loose connection inside, and MELTED COIL from Over Powering a low watt speaker...((Been there done that))

if the speaker is factory it probably has torn surround "paper going to the center of speaker". This is called blown sometimes, but sometimes it can mean that to much power ran to the speaker and over powered it causing the voice coil to melt. A voice coil is simply a wire usually made of copper, or aluminum wrapped around a magnet. Also, a factory speaker has connectors that sorta pop into place so they can't just come unconnected.

Technically it's either a burned voice coil or the voice coil assembly has come apart from the cone of the speaker.

The paper has ripped , you can take some silicone and repair them . They wont be as good as they were new , but ok . Sounds like you need better speakers anyway.

Usually it means that the paper ripped. But if you see smoke it means that it shorted out somewhere.

it means the voicecoil sepperated from the cone. the sub usually smell a little burnt. an silicone doesnt work for more than an hour
