That's another one you can chalk up to our government! Deregulation and the ability to buy what ever you want...including a CDL license. Back some 30 years ago must truck drivers were in unions and had rules that they were protected under. They got paid by the mile and weren't allowed to drive for more then 8 hours.( 1 hour for lunch/dinner) in one day. Now the industry has allowed who ever shows up this a tractor can drive. Most get paid by the run, the more runs you do the more you make! So in the eyes of the truck driver the faster he goes the more money he makes.I 've been in the trucking business for 19 years and seen our elected officials get caught selling a license to anyone who can pay for it. Union driver aren't allowed to drive for more then ten hours now (2 hours for lunch/dinner) they get pain by the mile and get paid by the hour and must be DOT qualified. In most cases if a non-union driver is caught for any violations , he's not who he said he is, he's not licensed, and not insured!!! I have a lot of respect for the Over-The-Road drivers that do their job well.
Give them a flash of your head lights when they signal to change into your lane and if they tap twice on their brake light thats a signal for "thank you" for being aware. With so many cars on the road and so many car driver being so multi-tasking (cell phone, eating, reading) while driving I believe its the trucker thats being put on the firing line for so many traffic related deaths. I hate driving just for that reason....

Good luck...

As a truck driver myself we spend a lot of time on the road and put up with stupid drivers that don't deserve a licence. I come across a lot of dumb car drivers that have no idea on road rules. Not only this but 95% of truck drivers have time windows to get places. If you get there late you can be fined for every min your late. Also consider that there is a lot of people out there that wont give trucks the time of day because their slow. This also could be why that driver was driving obnoxiously. There is only so many dumb drivers on the road you can put up with in one day. But after saying all this there is some truck drivers that suffer form what is known as Big Truckie syndrome. They think they are the only person that matters on the road.

This is a false question. Most truckers are not bad drivers. In a report by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published under the Highway Safety Information System (HSIS), it was found that in fatality car vs. truck accidents, the car driver was solely responsable 70% of the time compared with the truck driver being solely responsable 16% of the time.

A professional driver, whether they be in a truck or a bus or a small van should drive professionly. Anything else and they are not be professional.
Some people just dont take pride in what they are doing.
The vehicles that get me are big busses. They use the car pool lanes as if they are a car... and they are not.

The truckers aren't all the bad drivers alot of the blame needs to be placed on the car drivers they don't move out of the way . Everyone wants to blame the big truckers but the cars just don't have a clue how to drive.

I don't know but they piss me off so bad. Today I was traveling home and was cut off twice by the same truck in a matter of 5 minutes. I have seen and heard of so many accidents because of large trucks. I cannot stand them. They need to be reported or something. They should pay the consequences for their crap.

It's not easy to keep one of those things perfectly centered in a lane while watching half a mile ahead for hazards, slow traffic, IDIOT car drivers, animals, and YOU-NAME-IT

Try it and you will shut up.

enable me guess. Momo is definitely one of your many diverse bills, and you wallow in the delusion that no-one knows you're particularly a furry 50 year previous unemployed nerd with a fat intestine putting out, pretending to be some vivacious and playful female who likes to tease previous fat adult males along with her "cupcakes." And no, i haven't any cupcakes. So do no longer even seem.

because it is not easy to see if they are going to be able to clear on their sides when they are going to change lanes, and most of them have been up driving all day or night.
