my sister in law carried her 1st child to the 8th month. You couldn't tell she was pregnant at all. She ended up having a caesarean and her daughter was delivered perfectly healthy at 3.4 lbs and only 13 inches long. But she was perfectly healthy.
Today she is a normal 16 year old.
You are probably fine. Your doctor will continue to monitor you. Please try and stay calm and rest and eat right and excersize, that's the best for both you and the baby.
Blessings.

People, stop being so judgmental! Does it make people feel better about themselves to be able to spell correctly? It was probably just a typo that she wrote "wemon" instead of "women"...give it a freakin rest, you grammar nazis.
Anyway! If you have any concerns, you DEFINITELY need to speak with you doctor about this. I know how worrisome pregnancy can be. I didn't show until my 6th month...and that's also when I happened to give birth to my daughter at 27 weeks (she weighed 1 lb. 14 oz. and was 13 1/2 inches)...she's now 10 months old and is doing awesome...you'd never know she had such a rough start.
Anyway, just take it easy...as easy as possible...talk with your doctor about your concerns! I wish the very best for you and your baby!

If it is your first child, it may be on the small side. Try not to stress about things because the baby feels that. Don't smoke (I know it's cliche, but it really harms the fetus' growth). And don't worry about whether or not you're showing, the baby grows the most in the last trimester. Make sure you are eating plenty.

My babies were small babies. But you have to take into consideration everyone is different. Normal is the national average. Just like the weight scale. You could be over or under and still be okay. This is just an average. Don't worry, talk to the doctor to express your concerns. Congratulations!

please don't freak out. here's the deal, every baby is different. ultra sound people aren't registered doctors and if it was your doctor they should have told you. as long as you have increased your diet by 300 calories and taking care of yourself, your baby will grow. i didn't really show until i was over 6 months then i ballooned. my friend was told by the ultra sound people her baby was small and would be preemie.. tell me why she had a 7lb 6 oz baby. i met all the requirements and had 6lb 9oz baby. some babies grow slow at first. talk to your doctor.
