Got a salon and tell them you want to donate your hair to locks of love and ask them where you can get a wig for your mother. Also go to the locks of love website.

The American Cancer Society offers local programs that might be able to help you locate a place to make a wig. However, it may be expensive and take a while . . you might want to read through this site for some ideas:
Look Good Feel Better: For women in cancer treatment
http://www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org/
Just a note . . many people do not seem to be aware that Locks of Love donates wigs for children under the age of 18 years old. They don't offer a program for adults. Sorry.

As far as your sister donating her hair for a wig - you can check with your mother's oncologists (cancer doctor) office. They should have some local resource information available to you and your family. I don't know where your mom is as far as her cancer diagnosis/treatment, but if she is going to receive a chemotherapy that will cause her to lose her hair, many women like to go have a wig made for them, or choose one for themselves before they lose their hair. This way, they can get one that matches their current color/style etc.
The oncologists office or cancer center may also have someone available to meet with your family to help you all cope with this new diagnosis. If not, they may be able to suggest someone or a local support group where everyone in your family can get the support that they will certainly need during this time.
Best wishes to you and your family.

You may want to ask the cancer society if they have any recommendations or go to a store that sells nice wigs and explain the situation and such....i'm sure that they would be happy to help you out. Best wishes to your family/...

My mother just died from breast cancer in October, and during the three years since her diagnosis she got two wigs from American Cancer Society; she also got hats.
