I have an 11 year old daughter first of all, and I am saddened to hear that you are worried about that already. My advice to you is if you are hungry, make healthy choices, fresh fruits & veggies, peanut butter on wheat crackers....but it is okay to reward yourself with TREATS occasionally too! You are a growing girl and need to eat to help your body grow. The advice of getting physical is very good advice...exercise @ any age is fantastic!! Even if it is dancing in your room to music :) !! Good luck sweety!

You are growing and at an age where your body needs more nutrients. My son was always a skinny kid, but one day I looked at a picture of him (he was in a wedding) and realized he looked like a chipmunk compared to his normal face.
He had gained about 15 pounds in a short period of time, Eventually over the next few months he had added another 5 pounds. Then in about he weeks he grew about inches and he was skinny again.
He was an active kid and he ate healthy (for the most part), his being hungry and gaining weight was just his body preparing to go into a major growth spurt.
I should add at no time wouldhe have been considered overweight.
It is nomal, when you are hungry, eat fruit for a snack, eat healthy meats and high fiber carbs. Avoid fried food and exercise, you will be fine.

You should not be worried about weight at your age as long as you are active. What you have to is get enough exercise every day and don't stay by the TV and munch endless snack . Take up running, walking, swimming and aerobic exercise. Don't eat all day long, just eat 3 meals and 2 small snack daily. Eat balanced food.Stay away from candy, chips and fast food. I suggest talk to you parents to help you out with planning a good meal.

You are only ten. You are a growing girl and you body needs that energy. When I was ten, i did the same thing, don't worry about it as long as you excersize and eat healty foods.Remember that every one is different and you should never compare yourself to other people that may be skinner than you. you may be growing at a different rate than those people!!! Now I'm really skinny and I was never on a diet!!(trust me!!!) also, don't EVER try to stop eating!! You will die from that. My friends sister is in rehab because she did that.

do not think your in a diet.. make it a lifestyle. eat nutrious food like vegestables and fruits.. dont make yourself miserable by dieting or you will end up fat. always tea instead of shakes or coke.. avoid carbohydrates.. sooner or later you will be accustomed of eating just health food and you will feel good.

Well, maybe you are bored. Why don't you try doing other activities to keep yourself busy and limit your food intake and watch the junk you eat! Good luck!
