Hardly unless you take it seriously, then your following something else other than God. That's a sin. Thou shall have no other gods before me. Horoscopes are a form of idoltry and that if you take it seriously and base your decisions and actions by it you are definitely committing sin pushing Gods way aside. I think of it as just a novelty written by people who think they know it all. Like that of Tarot, crystal balls or psychics with signs on their doors reading " I knew you were coming ". If they truly had psychic ability then why all the questions before they make a prediction? If Horoscopes had any factual merits then I could pick up two newspapers and they would have the exact same horoscope readings. Not the case. Horoscopes are hogwash. Trust your own instincts.

The Bible does state that divination is a sin, but I don't think just casually reading your hororscope in the paper or something would get you sent directly to Hell. When in doubt, I ask my self:
1. What does the Bible say? You can look it up on www.biblegateway.com or some other such site. They have topical searches. You can also try speaking to a pastor about it.
2. Does it feel wrong? Your gut feelings do have meaning.
3. Would I be comfortable doing this if Jesus was sitting right next to me while I did it? You really can't go wrong with this particular one.

I hope this helps, either way, God bless you!

I don't believe that reading your horoscope is remotely evil. As long as you have no intention of ill will in what you do. Horoscopes are just another form of Divination. Divination was used through out the Bible. I believe that is was also a gift that was given to us in the new testament

Reading fiction is not a sin. But by giving power to other than God, is a sin. In the winter, sometimes it is hard to see the ice on the road.

I'm not sure if it is a sin within itself, but what is a SIN, is that I saw a book on Pisces when I was a kid, and my mother had a book on Gemini.... and we are talking over 30 years ago... but what was printed for the day of AUGUST 1st, for the Pisces, was written exactly the same for the Gemini... throughout the book...

I don't think they do that now, but, it just goes to show you, that people are gullible...

I'd say it's not a sin...

I read my daily horriscope in the newspaper...

But, I take it with a grain of salt...

What's a sin is if you let your horriscope CONSUME you...

Such as you meet a HOT BABE, that has a great personality, and everything, and you're thinking... Hmmm she is a TAURUS... we're not suppossed to be compatible...

Or even worse yet... is when she asks you your sign, and tells you that you are not compatible with her sign...lol even though she really liked you all along, etc... NOW SHE IS BEGINING TO LIVE BY HER SIGNS...

Or she says I went with two guys with the same sign as you, and it just never worked out...

I'm more compatible with Aries, and Aquarius, or some silly nonsense like that...lol

Have fun, read your horriscope, but taking it to extremes... NOW THAT'S A SIN...lol

in itself, reading a horoscope isn't sinful, especially nowadays when they are derived from a load of rubbish and have nothing to do with anything.
however, things like horoscopes and tarot cards are originally considered demoniac and are wrong. seeing into the future isn't our right and can mess with peoples heads when its taken too seriously. which, to be fair can happen with most things.
to be honest, i steer clear anyways, cz if its true its creepy and wrong, and if its not, well its just a waste of time.

According to the bible yes- But then again it says it okay to give your daughters over to a mob to be gang raped (genesis 19: 7-8 & judges 19: 23-4). I really would't worry about what the bible says - Horoscopes are harmless.

hopefully not. there are certain types of divining that are prohibited but i don't know what they are since thats not very interesting. i read my horoscope on occasion but its never even remotely accurate. it might have something to do with the conditions of my birth but i highly doubt it, more likely horoscopes are just cheap ways for crappy astrologists to get money
