Its how they choose to believe. Methodist are little more laid back and enjoy a good sing along. Baptist that depends on how south you go. You get a good one they will beat you with a bible just for fun.

Seriously, Its a political thing. The founders of the churches broke off from larger churches. we all still believe the same thing its how we chose to believe. Some preach love and peace others preach everyone is going to hell. Its best to wiki and look up how it all started .

I started as an EUB which merged with the Methodist. Baptist stress salvation. And I believe Baptist are probably more strict with teaching the Bible. Now if you ask about Pentecostal, there is a big difference.

Funny you should ask. If you are Baptist you can get saved and get a free pass on Judgment Day. You can sin, within reason, and don't worry, you got a guarantee.

I know a Baptist lady (and many of her Baptist friends), and she was saved at age 22, and the date is very important to her. She is mean to her husband, and does things behind his back; and he tries to keep her happy, which isn't easy. Why is she mean to him? She once confided to a cousin "He isn't saved." But really I don't understand why she's mean to him. Well, she's pretty, but it that a proper reason?

She is going to Heaven and he is going to Hell, that's cause he's a Methodist and they don't have a special procedure and special incantation for getting saved.

But people who don't believe in Jesus at all, I hear they go to a Hell that is the worst of the worst.
