With over a billion members, you are bound to find some un-pious ones.

The Catholic Church is the largest charity in the world. Larger than the Red Cross, and larger than World Vision. You don't get like that without some degree of piety or holiness.

I remember when the Pope got elected. He spread his arms and shouted, "THE CHURCH IS ALIVE!!!" and the crown went wild.

Too little. Not in all Catholic Churches. It depends on what Diocese you belong to and under what Cardinal and Bishop. It's really too bad but, Cardinal Mahoney in California has got to be one of the worst for liberalism. If you saw The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and saw the King that was under an evil spell, that's what these people remind you of, but, like I say not all. There are pockets of true Catholicism all over the country.

Way too little. Modernism and Ecumenism has affected the Church to its core. Catholics in America have succumbed to "Americanism" and hold America in higher regard than the Church that our Savior founded. Just look at how our Catholic political leaders like John Kerry the Kennedy's and others give political correctness higher regard than the teachings of the Church :
( abortion, same sex marriage, contraception, etc...).

Also the way the Mass is conducted, the liturgy, is no longer seen as the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, but a "banquet celebration" where humans celebrate their cultural diversity and worship that instead of God.

Yes, the Church Militant is ill equipped and defenseless against the attacks from the world and has quickly given in to it.(the majority of Catholics, anyway.)

70+% of Catholics do not believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, so how can there be genuine piety?

Voodoo and Catholicism are 2 diverse religions! Voodoo is an historical tribal faith originating in Africa and nevertheless practised in many areas of the international in the present day. Catholicism is between the mainstream Christian religions. I in actual fact doubt there is any connection between the two.

It depends on where you look and what age group you look at, but in general I do think there isn't quite enough piety in Catholicism... or it is poorly placed. Time to walk the talk!

There are many wonderful piety disciplines in the Catholic church. That's never been a problem. The issue is how many are using them?

At my parish, there's a healthy number of different forms of piety that are supported private and communal.

Depending on what you define as Pius. I define it as holy, so I would say too little.
