I am not a recruiter...The Army provides young men and woman a job, college, a chance to excel, makes you realize just what your limitations are (there are none), excellent benefits, you are part of a team, makes one realize that the world is not a safe place, and the chance to be one of the baddest muthers on the planet. I am an Army veteran, an ex-NCO, and paratrooper. I have been out for 4 years, did the college thing and now I'm looking at going back in. Once you excel in the military, it gets in you blood. It's a great way to give back to your country and to gain self respect. Don't let the liberals fool you (there are very few liberals in the military, always complaining), the current Iraq situation is a political blunder 30 years in the making, not the military's fault.

There are some very prestigious stores that do not put price tags on what they sell. When someone asks what something costs the people that work there will tell them that if they have to ask they can't afford it.
My job is very similar to that. If you have to ask why you should do it you probably have no business even thinking about trying.
Go to school, get a nice safe job and leave the hard work to those of us who are more suited to it.

Some people want to fight for their country. I think that if you cannot afford to pay for college or don't have many educational or career opportunities, then the army might have a lot to offer for you.

We live in a country that has certain freedoms and rights. Just like the things that you cherish in your everyday lives such as material objects or people that you love, should be guarded. There is also the ones that are weak, crippled, old or too young to properly defend what they believe to be important. Enlistees join to protect a country that they love and they know what their country stands for and they tak pride in it. They step up for those that cant and for themselves and their families.

The military life is not for everyone. But most can find it acceptable. You will get good training, plenty of exercise, good food and you will be taken care of. Plus you will earn a pay check.
