I dont believe in reincarnation. Why? Its a confusing thing regarding resurrection. also:
John 9:1, 2: “Now as he [Jesus] was passing along he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him: ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, so that he was born blind?’”
Is it possible that these disciples had been influenced by the belief of the Jewish Pharisees, who said that “the souls of good men only are removed into other bodies”? (Wars of the Jews, Josephus, Book II, chap. VIII, par. 14) It is not likely, since their question does not imply that they thought he was a ‘good man.’ It is more likely that as Jesus’ disciples they believed the Scriptures and knew that the soul dies. Yet, since even a baby in the womb has life and was conceived in sin, they may have wondered whether such an unborn child could have sinned, resulting in his blindness. In any event, Jesus’ answer did not support either reincarnation or the idea that a child yet in its mother’s womb sins before birth. Jesus himself answered: “Neither this man sinned nor his parents.” (John 9:3) Jesus knew that, because we are offspring of Adam, there is an inheritance of human defects and imperfections. Using the situation to magnify God, Jesus healed the blind man.
Have you ever mistaken one man or woman who is alive for another who is also now living? Many have had that experience. Why? Because some people have similar mannerisms or may even look almost identical. So the feeling that you know a person even though you never met him before really does not prove that you were acquainted with him in a former life, does it?
Why might a house or a town seem familiar to you if you have never been there before? Is it because you lived there during a former life? Many houses are built according to similar designs. Furniture used in cities far apart may be produced from similar patterns. And is it not true that the scenery in some widely separated places looks very much alike? So, without resorting to reincarnation, your feeling of familiarity is quite understandable.
Do recollections of life at another time in another place, as drawn out under hypnosis, prove reincarnation?
Under hypnosis much information stored in the brain can be drawn out. Hypnotists tap the subconscious memory. But how did those memories get there? Perhaps you read a book, saw a motion picture, or learned about certain people on television. If you put yourself in the place of the people about whom you were learning, it might have made a vivid impression, almost as if the experience were your own. What you actually did may have been so long ago that you have forgotten it, but under hypnosis the experience may be recalled as if you were remembering “another life.” Yet, if that were true, would not everyone have such memories? But not everyone does. It is noteworthy that an increasing number of state supreme courts in the United States do not accept hypnotically induced testimony. In 1980 the Minnesota Supreme Court declared that “the best expert testimony indicates that no expert can determine whether memory retrieved by hypnosis, or any part of that memory, is truth, falsehood, or confabulation—a filling of gaps with fantasy. Such results are not scientifically reliable as accurate.” (State v. Mack, 292 N.W.2d 764) The influence of suggestions made by the hypnotist to the one hypnotized is a factor in this unreliability.
Does the Bible contain evidence of belief in reincarnation?
Does Matthew 17:12, 13 reflect a belief in reincarnation?
Matt. 17:12, 13: “[Jesus said:] ‘Elijah has already come and they did not recognize him but did with him the things they wanted. In this way also the Son of man is destined to suffer at their hands.’ Then the disciples perceived that he spoke to them about John the Baptist.”
Did this mean that John the Baptist was a reincarnated Elijah? When Jewish priests asked John, “Are you Elijah?” he said, “I am not.” (John 1:21) What, then, did Jesus mean? As Jehovah’s angel foretold, John went before Jehovah’s Messiah “with Elijah’s spirit and power, to turn back the hearts of fathers to children and the disobedient ones to the practical wisdom of righteous ones, to get ready for Jehovah a prepared people.” (Luke 1:17) So John the Baptist was fulfilling prophecy by doing a work like that of the prophet Elijah.—Mal. 4:5, 6.

I 've dreamed that I was a bank robber a couple of times. Both times I was in an era from the past. I have also been a soldiers in places that I did not recognize. With videos and pictures, we don't know if these images are just something we have seen in a movie or something. But in the old days before TV and Movies, If you dreamed of something that you have never seen or heard of, It would be much easier to make the argument for past lives.

I don't believe in past life, but I believe in after-life, and when I reach it, then this present life of mine will be a past life, but I don't believe I ever lived before this life, I think its fiction, there could be spiritual contact with others yes, you could feel exactly what some other person feels in another spot of the planet, but nothing is so called past life, I think God didn't run out of souls to recycle ours !

This is an intriguing question, not easily answered in a forum such as this. If one examines the world through the ages and the broad scope of ALL world religions, most civilizations have believed in the existence of previous lives. I myself never gave much thought to the topic until one day I went under hypnosis. The hypnosis was supposed to be a relaxation exercise only. I was in the midst of a terrible romantic break-up and was really stressed out. While under hypnosis the hypnotist told me to walk down stairs. I descended down stairs for a while until she asked me where they led, and all of a sudden I was standing in Venice Italy. At that point I began walking the streets, feeling things, smelling odors, knowing my destination, even possessing some memories. She asked repeatedly if I was male or female and I didn’t know until she told me to look at my shoes. When I did I could discern I was male (I am female in this life). There is much more to the memory, but I know it was authentic. It happened unexpectedly.
Dr. Brian Weiss has written many books on the topic, and the one you should start reading is Many Masters, Many Lives. He was a conventional psychiatrist with a prestigious educational and professional history, and he never believed in past lives until he dealt with a patient with unexplainable memories. Even then he wasn’t convinced, but things happened to bring about a change in his thinking. If you are really interested, it is a book you should read.
In spite of my Italian memory, I have not dwelled on this incident. It is a big issue, and a scary one. If I truly embrace it I will have to change many of my core beliefs and the way I live my life.
Another interesting website for exploring topics like this is www.belief.net

I actually think that there could be chances of us having past lives. For me, it started with the thought that if God made another new person every time some else died, heaven and hell would be a very crowded place. Maybe we keep reviving until we reached the life that we are truly happy?
Personally, I think that we keep reviving ourselves until we find our soul mate or soul place (by that I mean our true 'home', where we are finally at peace). We don't necessarily go up or down the class ladder (like how much our income is) but where we think we might achieve true happiness. Like, one person who was born before in a very rich family might revive again several more times and finally achieve peace in a poor family. The person is truly happy and they found their significant other (if you believe in that kind of thing). And then, our soul is finally at peace and goes to wherever we go.
I think Heaven and Hell could basically be a place where you go depending on what you did in your life before while you wait to be revived again.

Bless your heart. They watch for all kinds of signs you give away by not even knowing it. He probably noted your neck, also your eyes will show shock for a split second. Don't believe that malarky. Trust me, he got plenty of information from just your birthday.
If we did have a past life, we would not know anyway, so what difference does it make. Just enjoy the one you have. Trust in your Lord.

I don't know. There's a lot of opinions and thoughts on this subject. If our spirit never dies was it somewhere else before this life? I answered your question with a question but I don't know the answer to this. Even some Christians feel we came out from God before this life but most feel this earth is all there is. But I just don't know.

Yes, and I took my way of life for granted. When it was taken away from me, I found out in this life that my attitudes and habits just lead me into a pit of shame and embarrasement. It's good to practice restraint, but I don't think I did. I'll remember this time, hopefully, if I get a second chance.

Yes, I have often dreamt that I lived in the early ages before electricity in a old hut surrounded by lots of children, I wonder if that past life is why I love kids and became a foster carer in this life time
