As for speaking... Home language is Afrikaans, but now speak mainly English. Used to be fluent in Zulu as a child, but can barely manage a few sentences. Understand a bit more than that though!

It is my understanding that Zulus were African natives and the Africaans were the Boers which are of Dutch descent, so the relevent languages are so different.
