How does one become a sommelier?

I love wine! I am interested in how people become sommeliers.

Or, go to school in Ottawa for a couple of years. The program is _very_ highly recommended. Apparently not the easiest to get in to, but I have a couple of friends who did it -- while working, too, and they enjoyed it quite a bit. They did it for fun, but the career prospects look quite good.

Good Luck! Very few [eopl eon Earth are considered Sommeliers, I hear the test is unbeleivably difficult. Your knowledge of wine, it's properties, varietals, growing locations and etc must be explicit.
