Masa ~
In my opinion, the way a lot of fighters and former fighters (myself) tend to rid themselves of water weight to make weight. This is not a healthy way to loose weight and it can and does effect your performance. If you are a fighter, you should be more disciplined and not be 10 pounds over a week before your fight, this alone shows great neglect and it is also very unprofessional on your part and if you are a amateur you have to get your priorities straight.
Now that I'm done scolding you here's a way to drop weight as so many fighters do in your situation. Buy a product called Abolene (it's a makeup remover) and a plastic sweatsuit. Abolene is a product that looks and feels like Vaseline, put this product on like you would sun tan lotion, put on the plastics and go about your workout. Abolene will make you sweat unlike you ever have and it is possible to lose the weight that you need to by fight time.
THIS IS NOT A HEALTHY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT and should be done only as a last resort. You have to discipline yourself if you plan on being a boxer Masa. Good Luck! Let us know how you made out.

You need to work out like a mad man. You need to sweat big time. I would suggest running indoors in a nylon or vynil sweat suit. Spend an hr a day in the steam room in the same suit. Jump rope. Spar. Hit the bags Whatever you do do not starve yourself. Eat low carb, but also eat healthy.
A week is pushing it. I remember when I used to wrestle I would lose 5-10 pounds in that amount of time. it is possible to loose that much weight and still be strong.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.
2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.
3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.
These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

I'm a wrestler my self so in know how to cut weight fast. i once had to do that before. if u can find a sauna and wear sweats. do some non stop exercise so u can sweat it out. do for three hours a day and try to eat small portions. if u are exercising non-stop for the three hours then you can probably can lose up to 5-10 pounds of bodily fluids. but try to drink Little water. the wrestling room i practice in has a heater and the room get like about 80 to 90 degrees and one time i lost like 7 pounds in three hours. my friend once lost five pounds in one hour.

Go for kettlebell workouts — an average joe burns 400 calories in 20 minutes.

Hi, at this point you will need to lose the water weight. Its not healthy and youll be pretty dizzy the day of the fight before even taking a punch. Wear a plastic suit, and run to sweat it out....Best of luck!

If you do that then you won't be worth a damn in the ring.
Obviously you simply lose fluids -- don't drink, don't eat, and make sure that your bladder and bowels are empty when you weigh in. If you don't eat or drink for a few days then you'll lose that kinda weight.
However, you will be lethargic in the ring, and most likely not be able to respond to protect yourself, much less win.
BTW, don't you have a trainer?

Enroll in an active art work class, such as sculpture or perhaps ceramics.
