Lao people love freedom, love democracy, love peace, love justice, love independence, and love each other.
But communists took those away from them.
So, they have to pursue those back.

Like all countries there's no such thing as a real decomacy and freedom. There's always someone on the top who gets to dictate the rules to those on the bottom.
As far as I know Laos is still under communist rule.
And yes there are secret wars that are still continuing today in Laos. They have started since the Vietnam war.
Also before the communist there were the French. Like I said, if it's not one group suppressing them, it's another.

The only way to get those freedom back is to overhaul the entire Lao government.

Laos is worst than Cuba.
