My hometown just had a case of bird flu in their hospital. They thought the patient had pneumonia, but found out it was bird flu. They worked around semi tires that come in from all over and suspect that's how he got it. Has it been found that it can be passed from human to human yet? Should I be worried for my family? It's a small town too!

Avian flu is something we should all worry about but, like regular flu viruses, treat them with respect. With mosquito's treat them with respect. There's not really an epidemic to start with. In areas that are being warned, keep "deet" handy when your children go outside or, to the Beach, especially when their going to be around standing water. Keep this and other available water supplies mosquito's like away, keep your area dry.
It goes on and on, to much to go into here but your local hospital can give you some literature to read as well as your local health department. They may have a mosquito program like some State started.
