I am really bored right now and all i want to do is eat.

I know that will probably make me sound like another obeese teenager, but im not :p

Whenever i get bored i want to go and stuff my face stupid.
Can anyone give me some advice of what I could instead to get my mind off of it?

Chew gum does work, but I have a brace in and cant have it :(

Any time you feel the need to eat from boredom, drink a large glass of water instead.

More often than not, a sensation of "needing something in the mouth" is just another symptom of thirst.

Oh, that's silly. If you can afford it financially, eat eat eat. Food is yummy!! That's what I do. Although, I try to eat healthy stuff, hey, honey on some good organic bread can curb a sugar craving too. There are even organic oreo type cookies out there... still not too good for ya though.

Eat when bored. Masterbate when bored. Play video games when bored. Watch a movie... Sure, people are starving all over the place, but, what-are-ya-gonna-do, eh? That's not going to stop me from snacking. Well, you know what, just eat a big bowl of pasta, or try to make some stuff from taro (root vegetable) or things that you don't normally eat. Instead of stuffing yourself, try new recipes, try baking, try different vegetables and stuff at ethnic stores that look wierd... then you will be nice and hungry by the time you are finished cooking and ready to really eat.

Then you'll be full, and you won't be able to eat anymore, then you can go outside and so something. Head to the park, do some hiking, enjoy the outdoors and... aaaah, what a nice day, even if it is raining and cold...

You should always grab a big glass of water when you feel bored and start to think about eating. I used to get bored and go to the kitchen but now I just go to my friends how because I don't want to eat if i'm around other people, chewing gum is good or eating fruit.

I used to do that alot-but then I got into the habit of going off to do something-anywhere but the kitchen!! Go brush my teeth,get a book to read,play a game on my mobile phone or the computer,have a bath or shower,do a facial mask...whatever I could do to keep my mind off it. I also always keep a big bottle of water nearby at all times,because sometimes your body can confuse thirst and hunger. Chewing gum-as previously suggested-is another good thing to do.

Stay out of your kitchen, and away from food so you are not temted. Go on a walk around you neighbor hood. This will usually keep you away from food and you will feel better.

drink water instead. Or its ok to eat if you eat healthy stuff. I can be like that at times so i just grab fruit or veggies.

drink lots of water to fill you up and lots of fruit for snacks or try doing somthing else when you are bored
