If you could fly over a village in Africa with 1,000 hungry children. And you had the power to save them but it would mean never flying again, would you save a life?
(One of my favorite songs is "How to Save A Life" from Grey's Anatomy, who sings it?)

For an open ended question like this, I can only submit my opinion.
Life comes first and then comforts of life. Human life is more important than flying. Personally I will save life of 1000 hungry children (even one). I would not giving up flying.

I would fly,..
There are a thousand Hungry children around here,..
If I went to Africa I would die from the Sun ( I do not do well with the Sun,.. I get Sun Poisoning some times,.. but that much Sun would kill me). I also dehydrate easily (you want a flying dead corpse on your hands in Africa, don't you).
So No. I wouldn't be Flying through Africa, just to die, save a single life,.. and stare at people that are ill and starveing as a mindless flying machine.
If things were different,.. No,.. I probably still wouldn't,.. that just wouldn't be smart because that single life is already going to die,.. your just asking me to stop a quick/instant death to let someone suffer a another year.
Added: Why not be dropping supplies? How would someone get there? How would someone get back? Your asking people to strand themselves there if they save a life?

would "accidently" dropping a ton of food, happiness, and water in their village count? I think i can help more people by flying than i can without flying. And The Fray sings that song.

Yes I would.
Then After that I would make up for all the polution we would lose from actually flying by buying a really big truck!!

uhhh.... Yes... yes I would. Someone's life is more important than any ability that I might have (such as flying). Besides... I could always buy a plane ticket!!!

well, okay.. you'd have to fly from here to there, right?
and you'd have to make a couple of trips to bring alllll of that food, right?
you'd be doing an awful lot of traveling.
