Keep your brain active. The brain is not a muscle, but regularly “exercising" the brain actually does keep it growing and spurs the development of new nerve connections that can help improve memory. By developing new mental skills—especially complex ones such as learning a new language or learning to play a new musical instrument—and challenging your brain with puzzles and games you can keep your brain active and improve its physiological functioning Give yourself time to form a memory. Memories are very fragile in the short-term, and distractions can make you quickly forget something as simple as a phone number. The key to avoid losing memories before you can even form them is to be able to focus on the thing to be remembered for a while without thinking about other things, so when you’re trying to remember something, avoid distractions and complicated tasks for a few minutes. Hope this help you and good luck

My memory is fairly good but if your under alot of stress that can muddle things. Right now I am. I have a good bit to remember. I keep a little note pad on the kitchen table. Everything goes in there, appointments, things I needed to do by a certain date, things I need to pick up, calls I need to make. Every morning while having my coffee I read it over, & what needs doing that day starts there. Make my calls etc. Not always perfect but for the most part itt gets the job done. Good Luck.

maybe you're under a lot of stress or aren't getting enough sleep. at work you need to write stuff down as soon as they tell you, it's a good habit to get into, especially if you get a zillion different people coming up to you expecting you to solve all their problems, but now i'm just venting. if you have too many distractions going on in your brain then sometimes you do things like forget to lock doors, but if you're not stressed out or if your mind isn't always on other things then maybe you should ask your doctor what else could be going on w/ your memory.

we are creatures of habit, and when I was younger I would frequently forget one or two things when I went of to school. It helps to have a mnemonic device, and keep practicing to keep the neural pathways active.

They have "over the counter" meds out there for that, but would honestly check w/ your doctor - probably going to take something much stronger - he'll know what to give you

When people tell you to do something, right it down. This usually helps.

Memory depends on imagination to reconstruct the past.

Obviously... improving your imagination will improve your memory.
