There are more than 17
A couple not listed yet would be Nathan and Deborah.
I know Deborah is counted among the Judges, but the bible calls her a prophet and God sent her to give Barak his instructions regarding the battle he was about to go into.
Nathan was sent by God to tell King David of his sin and need to face up to it and repent.
There are many more spoken of in the bible and called prophets including the daughters of ? Just a little question in return for you to look up in the bible.
Always look up in the bible what man says and writes. If you can find it in the bible, it is correct, if you cannot, it is incorrect.
I believe that you are referring to the major and minor prophets that are written about so much. Just remember that this distinction given these people is a man made distinction, not directly from the bible. The bible records many more prophets than what man has termed the major and minor prophets.
This does not mean that I am demeaning the value of the 17, just that I believe all should be aware that there were many more called prophets written directly in the bible.

Where did you get the number 17 from ? according to the middle eastern history, we could find more than 300,000 prophets and messengers, 10s of them were mentioned in Quaran and Bible, not only this, but Quaran says that all nations had their messengers, meaning there could be more un-recorded prophets and messengers who appeared in Europe and Asia, and maybe the ancient America(s), and I could name more than a 10 for you, starting with Adam, father of us all, and ending with Muhammad.
Better than counting prophets, we better find some of what they said, and find the way to the truth of God.

many false prophets shall rise: Matthew 24:11
Their prophecies shall fail: 1Corinthians 13:8
As for the OT prophets, especially the gloom and doom thereof, Daniel is called son of man, who should repent: Numbers 23:19.
Prophesy groom(grace & truth) rather than gloom(law lies).
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Daniel was one, and there were far more than 17, some just didn't get published in the Bible.
