One time me and my friend did this science fair project thingy and it was easy. We just tested cookies. Every time we made cookies we would leave out one ingredient,(just not chocolate chips) like the butter, or eggs or flour and so on. We observed them how the felt looked stuff like that and even tasted before and after we cooked them. It's the easiest project ever. Plus you are left with a lot of cookies that you can either eat give to your friends to eat and start talking about how bad they taste.

Depends on your grade... If you are in middle school make a Crystal radio or connect 4 lemons with copper and zinc wires to a light bulb... if you are in high school make a simple motor... go to http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/ for more

The exploding Uranus...its like the volcano trick. You just need to get some plaster of paris and make a bottom.
