The meaning of life is the challenge of accepting what you see
And discerning from that your individuality
Once attained and sustained
The aim becomes breaking the walls this challenge has made
And you grow old until this game of life grabs you again and again
but then it dawns that you are not just a name
But a pair of eyes to observes life's domain
Fear proclaims, these lies explained
And you grow old until this game grabs you again
and again
Alas, life remains but not always the same
for wisdom shows you must also change
to know the answer is not the aim
but the question is were you gain
and you grow old once more
until this game finally releases its hold forevermore

The meaning of life is simple, first is to find peace inside and outside, secondly is to worship the one who gave it to us, and thirdly is to be creative people and be effective in the lives of those we know and meet, to do your best for a better world, to understand the meaning that man kind are the representatives of God on earth, and then you will find a way and a reason for everything, your life is not just like the life of a tree or something, it has a meaning, think of what you could do, and then you will see what I am talking about

I have to apologize for presenting you with links instead of my own words. I'm aware this may seem rude. I hope this won't prevent you from getting to read the articles. The first is concerned with spiritual malaise as the symptom of missing the meaning of life. The second has a moving introduction concerned with the "meaning of life" issue: why did George Eastman commit suicide? The third touches upon spirituality as the true meaning of life, and the fourth does so in the last part.

42.
Douglas was right. 6 is a shortened version of the number of evil or the beast. 7 is a shortened version of the number for perfection or God. When they interact together i.e. multiply raher than just add, you'll get 42 which tells us that there's both good & evil in the world.
When you reach game over, your score is totted up. Anything more than 49 says you've been cheating!

I guess that outside of Christ there is no real meaning to life, as the following, taken from John, show :
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.
In him was life and the life was the light of men.
And ye will not come to me that ye may receive life.
... he which cometh down from heaven and giveth life unto the world.
I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.
I am the resurrection and the life.
But these have been written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that believing ye might have life through his name.

To serve God! Read the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. It is based on scripture and the meaning of life will start making sense and what God created you to be.

To procreate the species , if you can, and to help and support everyone else that you come into contact with, but especially your own offspring.
Enjoy your life and let me know if I can be of help to you.
By the way, I do not subscribe to any religion and I am very happy with my life.

Whatever you want it to mean.... you have the power to shape your life into something that you want it to be, and therefore you have the power to decide what means the most in your life; thus, the meaning of life.

Good question..... but already bee asked several times but no worries it can be answered again.... ermm well
The meaning or purpose of life-existence.......
To worship the One and only All Might God
"I did not create the Jinn and mankind, except that they should worship me"
[Surah ad-Dhariyat 50:53]
Also...
“In the name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists), the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful, the Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e., the Day of Resurrection). You (Alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help (for each and every thing).” [al-Faatihah 1:1-5]
“O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allaah), Who has created you and those before you so that you may become al-muttaqoon (the pious).” [al-Baqarah 2:21]
“Such is Allaah, your Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakeel (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things.”[al-An’aam 6:102]
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.” [al-Isra’ 17:23]

This is the main, exact reason why we were created by God the All Mighty, to worship and follow Him. Does God need us? No, all He wants us is to obey Him, and worship Him as He should be worshipped, as He is the only One worty of worship, and we should do. Why should weworship Him? He create us and gave us everything we can ever ask or and need. So the least we can do is be greatful to Him, everytime, because he is the All Mighty, that has given us so much. He is nothing like us:
1 Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)): "He is Allah, (the) One.
2 "Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3 "He begets not, nor was He begotten;
4 "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."
[Surah al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]
He puts us in bad situations to see how we do, and to obey him, in every command, not altering any, or leaving any, but accepting it all. (this continues to the exist of God)
You may ask, does God the All Mighty even exist?
Yes he does.....
