YES it is mad, very nautical, although a bit run down I must say. Reminded me sort of like, morecambe, Barrow in Furness or Hull. I was surprised at how low the house prices were.
Very nice people. They speak funny- they don't say "few" they say 'foo".
I see some peole saying Lowestoft is a dump. I think that is very unfair, Lowestoft has obviously been through some hard times but it has a lot going for it, especially if you like boats.
HEY that is where that band "the darkness" come from!!!
Lowestoft has got a lot of character. But if you are driving, beware because it is a BLOODY long drive to get there.

I briefly visited Lowestoft whilst staying at Gt. Yarmouth.
Lowestoft is the farthest easterly point of England (and the United Kingdom) but otherwise it seemed to be pretty unremarkable.

It's a great place, Pleasure Land is brilliant but stay away from the nudist beach area, it's full of pervs and the other kind.
