Whenever I talk to him, my ex keeps calling me "honey," "hun," or by his old pet name for me. Do you think that this is just out of habit or something more?

well I just had a conversation with him today and he called my by his pet name for me and I told him not too, and he said "Ok, Christine" but in a 'I didn't realize it was a big deal' way. Then like a minute later he called me "honey" and I told him again that he was giving me mixed signals. He was sick and said we would talk about this when he was feeling better. I just wanted to get some outsiders opinions.

give him a chance to prove that is could be serious. but if he s playing with u , call him ******** and be happy again. ok? luck , girl.

I think its habit, and I think he just wants get to get with you for the same reason that any guy would call you a pet name without being in a good relationship with you.
Tell him to move on, so you can do the same.

I'm guessing habit. Lets face it hun and hunni and used by people as an everyday name. I guess if you had some really intimate names, he really shouldn't call you those. Names that relate to anyone are ok - it doesn't mean anything.

It depends on how long you were together. It could be habit and it could also be a control thing with him. Pet names are a way of holding on. If it bothers you or makes you uncomfortable ask him to quit.

Maybe, depending on how long ago you dated and the length of the relationship. Or he could call a lot of girls hun or honey. I know guys who do that.

It could be a force of habit or he may still have feelings for you and he wants to see if ypu do as well. Ask him about it.

my ex does the same thing it's not a habit he stopped and started again and actually say that he does it on purpose because i will always be his baby so maybe yours does it on purpose to
