After years of neglect and no communication nor him acknowledging me as his daughter, I want my birth father off my birth certificate and no longer want anything to do with my biological father's family or him. Can you get another man to indicate that he was your dad? I am 32 and can get someone else to say he was my dad. I just don't want this loser dad listed as my father anymore. I WANT NOTHING OF HIS NOR HIS FAMILY.

No matter how much you may dislike him, he's still your birth father, and no, you can't get him off your birth certificate. Just because he's on it doesn't mean you have any obligation towards him whatsoever.

Unfortunately ther's a lot of children in your generation who was mistreated by their biological fathers. You cannot change a parent on your birth certificate. Birth Certificate, Birth Father, is the record of your Birth. It's a legal document not to be tampered with. Anyone who tells you other wise, is telling you to do something illegal. Your birth father has given up all claims to you on his own. He just didn't sign them away. Since you feel so strongly about this, why don't you see a domestic lawyer and have them petition the courts on your behalf to terminate your birth rights to your father, and then this other person can adopt you (even though you're 32, you can still be adopted). It will not change your father on your orginal birth certificate, but a new document will be drawn up with this other person as your adopted father. Don't torture yourself over this man. Anytime a parent neglects their child and don't acknowledge them as their own, it's the parent's loss. Why do you want to get someone to say they're your birth dad. You want someone to accept you as their child because they love you and want to be your parent. If you're trying to match this man for what he's done to you, then you'll be stepping down to his level, and he couldn't care less what you do. By plotting against your birth father, you're only hurting yourself. You're robbing yourself of peace and joy, you're willing to break the law, and you're pre-ooccupying yourself with unpleasant thoughts of him. You have lived to 32 years without this man's help, so be thankful for that. The Scriptures tells us, "Children are a gift from God". So, God Almighty will deal with him for the wrong he's done you. The best thing you can do for yourself, is to give your birth father up to God, forget about this man, and go on with your life. God bless!

Not if in fact he is your biological father. If you would change it to someone else it would be forgery. You made your decision about not wanting anything to do with him and if the other man is your father in all aspects other than donating the sperm do not even worry about his name not being on your birth certificate... Just enjoy him and his family

I don't think you can change your legal fathers name of a birth certificate. Just have nothing to do with him or his family.

the birth certificate isn't for you. It's for the govt. Of course you can't take his name off it. Not legally atleast.
