The stomach is the most vulnerable spot on a dog. They normally keep it tucked under to protect it. If yours is showing his stomach, then he is completely at ease with his surroundings.

I don't think it means anything. Maybe they're just comfortable that way. I have a 19-week-old schnoodle(a mix of a schnauzer and a poodle) who sometimes sleeps like that with his 2 front legs sticking up.

If he goes on his back when you are yelling at him he will go on his back to show you he does not want to fight with you.If he goes on his back otherwise he either wants attention or a tummy rub.
