So I am going to by a camcorder that tapes on to mini dv's. I was wondering, is there like a VHS that you can place the mini DV in and be able to watch it from a VHS player? I know they have those when the video cameras were big and bulky, but I was wondering if they still made them and where can I buy on?

Hopefully you know what I'm talking about so you can help me! THanky Thanky!

I just bought a mini DV camera this past weekend (a JVC). It came with cables that can hook the camera up to a tv, vcr or DVD recorder via RCA input jacks (the red, yellow and white plugs).

From there, you could either watch your tapes, record them to a VCR tape, or record them to a blank DVD if you have a DVD recorder on your television.

Of course, you could also hook the camera up to the computer as the person above had suggested, but this can be time consuming and difficult if all you want to do is simply watch the video you recorded on your television.

I hope this helps.

You don't. Well, you can, but let me explain. You can watch it on your camera or get a cable that connects your camera to your tv. There are minidv VCRs, but trust me, you don't want one, theyre expensive and not worth the trouble. MinidDVs were made for editing. So upload them into your computer via firewire (or usb if no other option) and let your creative side show! Then burn it to a DVD (using Nero or other program) and watch on your tv. Thats if you are absolutely set on getting minidv, which offers great quality. But it sounds like your more of the point-and-shoot-and-watch type. If you are, then you're better off with a dvd cam. But remember, it is extremely hard to edit if you make any mistakes. So take your pick. And have fun clicking away for countless hours until you finally find the right camera. Hope this helps!
