The Bible doesn't cause termoil, people and sin do. God stands true and unchanged regardless of what people are doing. The belief is that Jesus loves us and died for our sins, as the perfect sacrifice taking our place. Love for and belief in the God of the Bible, receiving Jesus' gift of salvation means we will spend all time with Him when we die from this earth. That's what "saving grace" means. There is not better reason to keep believing.

Religion does not really cause all the turmoil in the world. As an atheist i do understand what you are trying to say though.
The biggest divider in the world is difference whether it's wealth/poverty, black/white, christian/muslim, straight/gay. It's the differences that cause the turmoil. Even if we were to order religions out of existence, the root problems would still remain. Religions provide us with guidelines to follow, the problem is that everyone interprets them differently and the fanatics lose sight of reality in their search for an "unrealistic" enlightenment. *shrugs*

Because it is not the Bible that causes turmoil in the world. It is people that go against the truth that cause the turmoil. (These people can be anyone....of any religion).

It only causes turmoil to the ones who do not follow their particular religion/beliefs. If everyone would just let others believe what they believe, the world would be a better place.

I've never known the bible or religion to cause turmoil. Evil men that hi-jack benign religions for thier own purposes cause turmoil.
For people who are so busy calling Christians ignorant, you people sure are ignorant.

Christians believe in God and the Bible; not in religion.
The "morally corrupt" cause the turmoil; they are in league with Satan.

Because:
At some time in our lives, we (or at least our neighbors) crave to believe in a protective God; one who will help us, and, hopefully, ever so hopefully, allow us to escape the "D" word; help us escape the consequences of death, and go to Heaven."- Uncle Wayne
