I suggest you talk to your boyfriend before going to the semi. Say to him that you plan to dance with other guys and girls just for fun and wanted to let him know that you would be doing so. You have the right to do what you want without your boyfriend stopping you. But also say that you hope there's another time that you and your boyfriend can get together for a special date for just the two of you - this will help prevent your boyfriend from being jealous.

If I were in your situation, I wouldn`t. But you really ought to ask your boyfriend how he feels about it, you don`t want to take someone`s advise on here that it`s okay to do it, and then have your boyfriend get angry.
Also think about whether or not you`d want him to dance with another girl if you weren`t able to go to the semi-formal.

yea i guess but it depends if your boyfriend is the jealous type because then that wont be such a very good idea....you can still have fun with a bunch of gurlfriends DONT LET HIM RUIN YOUR SPECIAL NITE HAVE FUN!!!
