Help with what? Mary, Jesus mother died long, long ago... and she is still dead. She is not the person we are to pray to. Jesus is the way... the truth and the life... not Mary. Mary is enjoying heaven. Don't bother her. Talk to the one who still lives on, her son Jesus. That's what the Bible teaches us to do.

Hi Sonia, yes Mary is a great intercessor on behalf of all humanity, remember Jesus gave Her to us from the cross through John who represented all the believers of Jesus.
She has an overwhelming desire to see all Her Children enter Heaven and continually prays to Her Son for us as She did for the young couple at the wedding feast at Cana.
because She is His Mother She is refused nothing and if only people could come down from their high horse of pride and be humble enough to ask Her for Her intercession with a spiritual or family problem they would be amazed at the power of Her intercession.
do you remember the times that you wanted something and Dad said no, but you went to your Mum and asked her to ask your Dad for you and more often than not your Mother obtained the thing you wanted! well how much more powerful is the Mother of Jesus.

In addition to being the mother of our Savior, Mary was Jesus' first, best, and most constant disciple.

Now that she has been assumed into heaven, body and soul, she continues to assist her divine son in his great work of saving souls.

What else would she be doing? What could possibly be more important?

''and this is how you should pray: 'our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name' '' let's stop rite there. ''our Father...'' ''...who art in heaven...'' not Mary. when you ''got saved,'' who did you pray to? and who did you ask to come into your heart and life? Mary needed her Son as a saviour just as much as we do. and how did Mary help prepare Him for his mission? even at a young age, Jesus was spittin' out answers that totally baffled his folks. sure, she wasn't a bad person, but Is. 64:6 says ''our righteous acts are like dirty rags.'' so even if she did twice as much good stuff while she was alive, that's just twice as many dirty rags. (two times zero is still zero.) what gets a person into heaven? is it by faith, by words or deeds? did Mary do anything that truly meritted our praying to her?

Romans 3:22 - 23 ''This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, there is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.''

and if being ''the mother of God'' was enough, then why don't we also pay more attention to demonising Judas, the chief priests, the pharisees, saducees, experts in the law, why don't we just say that those are the fathers of the devil, then, and when something bad befalls us, just say ''oh, the pharisees have been workin' on me somethin' fierce these past few days! can you pray to Mary for me?''

Does prayer help? If prayer helps, then anyone who prays for you helps. The saints in heaven pray for the saints on earth. That's what the "communion of saints" means, one of the core Christian beliefs listed in the Apostles' Creed. So yes, the saints, including Mary, do help us. The saints, including Mary, obviously are not dead, since Christ Himself said that those who follow Him will NEVER DIE.

Yes the blessed Mother Mary is of great help, we venerate her, and ask her to intercede for us, when we pray the Rosary.

Oh yes she does. Remember the miracle at the wedding in Cana was done by her interceding for the wedding couple. She is our Mother and a Mother always helps.

I don't understand why people say in one breath she's dead but, she's also in Heaven. Don't they think about what they say?
