It dependson the texture and porosity of your hair and skin. If you have typically oily skin and hair, washing it every day won't cause much damage. As a hairdresser, once a week, I skip a day justto let my natural oils sink in I suppose. But my skin and hair can get quite oily. If you hair and skin are naturally very dry, you want to skip a few days. When you head starts to itch and you feel it looks bad, you need to wash it. It can also depend on the kind of shampoo you are using. If your hair is chemically processed (colored, hi-lighted or permed), it can make a difference.

It depends on what type of hair you have, and if you blow dry it. If you have dry hair, washing it every day can make it worse, especially if you blow dry it. Normal hair can be washed everyday, but shouldn't be blow dried every day. I can also go with washing only every other day. Oily hair should be washed every day.

My hair is dry, and I have a relaxer on it and flat iron it every day. When I wash it, I blow dry it. I wash my hair only once or twice a week, and it's fine. It doesn't get greasy or anything. It really just depends on what type of hair you have and what you do to it.

I used to be an Avon and Sara Lee lady and we were taught in our seminars that shampooing hair everyday is not advisable. However, you can just condition your hair on days that you don't shampoo. But don't apply the conditioner on your scalp----only on the hair. So, the formula for some of my officemates who really have gorgeous hair----they shampoo only once a week, and for the rest of the days, they just use conditioner. I followed their regimen. At times when I just stay home, no special place to go, I don't shampoo or condition my hair, just leave it as is, not even washing it.

It depends what kind of hair you have. My friend has curly hair and she doesn't even wash it...she just conditions it because it doesn't get greasy. My hair gets greasy after a day so I shower every day and I have really soft hair. If your hair doesn't get greasy easily, then it might dry it out to shower everyday.

I don't know, but washing it every day does cause the natural oils in your hair to wash away. It really depends on the texture of your hair

Depends on what type hair you have and dry hair is usually a result of too much blow dryer, products and within the body and lack of water in the system so drink lots of water and watch how many perms you get,,,
