Aren't we projecting a very limited and narrow perspective of our deity by making them into petty and easily-offended beings that are exact replicas of our sensitive and shaky self esteems? When those who have had a direct experience of spirituality, they don't get offended by any perceived misuse of the deity. Can we learn from them? Or do we think that it best serves our needs to treat our deities as small, petty projections of our own thought system?
