I am a vet tech and I do a lot of work with rescue organizations. Golden retriever rescue has both labs and goldens for adoption all the time. Their website is GRRA.com but all dogs are not on the site so you may want to give them a call. # is on the website. Also another great resource is petfinder.com or your local shelter. They often have purebreed dogs urgently waiting to be adopted. Good luck and I hope you find the right dog for you- there is nothing better than a rescue dog.

Obviously checking the humane society would be a good choice. Are you looking for a yellow Lab or a Golden Retreiver/Lab mix? Here is a good place to look as well. Click on your state in the right hand bar then find your city or surrounding area then look in pets.

Do you mean a Golden Retriever or a Labrador Retriever that is the yellow color (also come in black & chocolate)? You can find both separate breeds rescue groups at www.akc.org - best to search rescues closest to you, as many will not adopt dogs out too far from their locations.

try a dog pound or the rspca or an animal shelter i'm sure any golden lab there would be much appreciative that your giving it a loving home and the volenteers also that you want to save a dog and give it the good life it never had before. good on you and take care.. all the best and good luck hope you find a friend to take care of soon...
