I'm no spring chicken- certainly not a teenager any more- and I'm still waiting to be asked out for the first time. I'm a comedienne professionally and I spend my evenings making everyone laugh. But, at the end of the day, they all go home with their pretty girlfriends and I go home to an empty house. Reckon there's any point in waiting or should I just give up now?

I have never be asked out as i am bloke, girls like to be ask out, so why do not you though caution to the wind and ask a bloke out who you like.
I though girls and blokes meant to be equal in the 21st century i.e girls should ask blokes out as well so when the blokes ask a girl out he does not look like a compete fool!

You should never give up! Surely, in your job, you should have the confidence to ask a guy out yourself, after all, we're in the age of equality, are we not? So, you might get a knock-back or two, you'll then know what us guys have to go through!

Look on the bright side, Youre in a top job to find a partner. All I can suggest is just hang in there and do as much as you can to make something happen. I work in computers (hardly any women) I'm 38 and havent found her. just hang in there.

I've felt exactly like you up until about five months ago.
Then a girl who I had known through work for many years, sent me an e-mail. We got chatting via e-mail at work. Then I gave her my home e-mail address, then my mobile number, then my home number & now we are so in love I can't believe it has happened.
