Darby's definitionis right on. The term goes all the awy back to a narrative written in14th Century England called Piers Plowman. Ragamuffin was a demon in the tale.

Ragamuffin--A dirty, shabbily clad urchin--kind of like the way Oliver Twist looks. There's also a Ragamuffin cat.

It's a dirty or messy child, but it's also a type of cat.

EDIT: Oh, I meant "ragamuffin" was those things. I have no clue what a reggamuffin might be.

reggamuffin refers to like something that dirty and raggy like ive been told i need to go take a shower i look like a reggamuffin
